The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is conducting under joint organization of the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, which was started in 1984 A.D.It is conducted more than 60 countries now a days. JLPT started to be offered twice a year in July and December, from 2009 A.D. Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services introduced a revised version of the test in 2010. JLPT measures comprehensive Japanese-language communicative competence through three elements: (1) Language Knowledge, (2) Reading and  (3) Listening. The JLPT is offered in five levels (N1, N2, N3, N4, N5). N4 and N5 measure understanding of basic Japanese that is mainly learned in the classroom.
